📄 Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Payil QR app, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all users — teachers, parents, and students. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the app.

Payil QR is published by Karky Tamil Academy (Karky Research Foundation), Chennai, India ("we", "us", "KTA").

©️ Content Ownership & Intellectual Property

All digital content accessible through Payil QR — including but not limited to lesson notes, songs, audio books, videos, presentations, question banks, flip books, and learning materials — is the exclusive intellectual property of Karky Tamil Academy and Karky Research Foundation.

This content is protected under applicable Indian and international copyright laws. No content may be reproduced, republished, redistributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission from KTA.

      Payil QR grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the content solely for educational purposes within your registered school.
    

🚫 Prohibited Uses

You must not:

Share, post, or distribute any content from the app on social media platforms (including WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter, Telegram, or any similar platform)
Upload content to any public forum, website, or file-sharing service
Share downloaded files (presentations, lesson notes, question banks) with persons or institutions outside your registered school
Screen-record or screenshot video and audio content for redistribution
Use any content for commercial purposes or for profit
Attempt to download, copy, or extract audio or video content from the app
Share your account credentials or School Code with unauthorised persons
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension and may be subject to legal action under applicable copyright law.

🎬 Audio & Video Content

All audio (songs, audio books) and video content is made available for in-app playback only. Downloading, saving, or recording audio or video content is strictly prohibited. An active internet connection is required to access this content.

📥 Downloadable Content

Certain content types — including presentation files, lesson notes, question banks, and flip books — may be downloaded for personal, classroom-only use. Downloaded files remain the property of KTA and must not be shared outside your school community.

🏫 School Code

Access to digital content is granted through a School Code issued by Karky Tamil Academy. This code is confidential and intended solely for registered teachers and parents of the respective school. You must not share the School Code with anyone outside your school.

KTA reserves the right to deactivate a School Code if misuse is detected.

👤 User Accounts & Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately at raj@karky.in if you believe your account has been compromised.

KTA reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

⚖️ Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The app and its content are provided "as is". KTA makes no warranty that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. To the extent permitted by law, KTA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.

🔄 Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or by email.

🇮🇳 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
